Healthy Hair Help for Your Wig

Healthy Hair Help for Your Wig

Our Love for Leave-in Conditioner       Freeda uses leave-in conditioner as part of maintaining the bounce and shine of your wig. If you're not currently using a leave-in conditioner, we have the number one reason Freeda encourages this habit. It's simpler to keep the hair looking nice and healthy rather than repair damage once it’s done. Leave-in conditioner will get the job done. By regularly treating your wig with extra moisture the strands don't have a chance to split, get dried out, or become ragged. It’s essential to find the right formula or all you will achieve is weighing down the hair. The right leave-in conditioner help keep the wig moisturized and healthy.       Wigs with texture will do well with a conditioner that has natural oils like coconut or olive oil in its formula. If you have highlighted, dyed, or done any kind of chemical processing to your wig you should look for a leave-in conditioner that has added sunscreen to shield hair from UVA and UVB rays. Curly wigs do very well with conditioners that have added apricot and avocado oils. Jojoba and safflower oil-infused leave-in conditioner work nicely as well. For thin or fine hair always looks for a conditioner that advertises it as lightweight or weightless.       It’s a good idea to spray additional conditioner before using hot irons or heat on your wig. The benefits of leave-in conditioner are vast and help the hair with shine, protection from heat, added moisture and so much more. Always leave the top inch of the hair out and spray the hair from that point until the ends, the oils in the conditioners breakdown the threads and cause unraveling of the wefts which is something we don’t want.     Treat your wig kindly for years of wear and enjoyment.     hair
